Short version
Your data belongs to you. We don't sell it. Your phone number stays private until you allow it. You can delete everything with one tap.
1. What we collect
When you use RentTower, we collect:
- Account information: email, password (encrypted), name, phone number, city
- Property information: if you're an owner, the buildings, floors, rooms, and rent details you add
- Usage data: which screens you visit, what you click (to improve the app)
- Location: only if you give permission, and only to show nearby listings
2. How we use your data
- To let tenants and owners find and contact each other
- To show listings near you
- To send you notifications about your account (rent reminders, interest requests)
- To improve the app and fix bugs
3. Your phone number
Your phone number is private by default. It is only shown to another user when:
- You explicitly toggle "Show my phone number" when sending an interest, OR
- You enable it in your account settings
We never sell your phone number or share it with third parties.
4. Your location
If you're an owner, you can mark a property's location as exact or approximate. Approximate locations are automatically shifted by 100-300 meters, so tenants cannot pinpoint your exact address.
If you're a tenant, we only use your device location to show listings near you. We never store it beyond your session.
5. Data storage
Your data is stored securely on Supabase, a PostgreSQL hosting provider. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
6. Third parties
We do not sell your data. We share it only with:
- Supabase — for hosting and database
- Cloudflare — for serving the app and website
- Payment providers (when integrated) — for subscriptions only
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data — everything is visible in the app
- Correct your data — edit your profile anytime
- Delete your data — Settings → Delete Account (permanent, cannot be undone)
- Export your data — coming soon
8. Children
RentTower is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in the app.
